Doheny Days Music Festival Postponed for 2013

August 13, 2013

The Doheny Days Music Festival, held annually at Doheny State Beach in South Orange County, regrets to announce the postponement of the festival this September. Doheny Days is in the process of selecting dates for the 2014 festival, and is eager to continue its partnerships with the California State Parks Department and The City of Dana Point.

“We have created and launched ten Doheny Days festivals since 1997, and we look forward to extending the tradition next summer. This break will allow us to focus on improving the fan experience, securing the best artists, and exploring new opportunities for 2014 and beyond,” said Producer Rich Sherman.

“The economics of producing a waterfront music festival with nationally-recognized artists remains an ongoing challenge, so we have been seeking to forge new partnerships, both strategic and financial. We are encouraged by the support of music fans, the artists themselves, and our corporate partners and are thrilled to add new energy and ideas for next year’s event,” said Sherman.

The Doheny Days Music Festival features an eclectic mix of music on three stages, eco-friendly attractions, tasty food & drink selections, and a sprawling vendor village.  Past performers have included Weezer, Jane’s Addiction, Ben Harper, The Flaming Lips, Neon Trees, Ziggy Marley, CAKE, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Santigold, Rebelution and many others.

Doheny Days is produced by Omega Events, which has successfully operated 28 festivals at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, including ten years of Doheny Days and sixteen consecutive years of the internationally acclaimed Doheny Blues Festival.
